at Normandale Community College.
Join Great River Tai Chi and many other groups for the annual celebration of World T'ai Chi Day. Demonstrations, classes, and more! How can tai chi help you in your daily routines? Come learn about the role of balance, alignment, relaxation, and how how simple tai chi ideas can enhance your everyday life. 1940 Hennepin Av. S. Minneapolis, 2F. All ages welcome.

NEW BEGINNERS' 10-week class
Sundays, starting April 13, from 6-7 p.m.

Prepare for World T'ai Chi Day and the Olympics! Learn the basic moves and principles of t'ai chi ch'uan in this 10-week class. Lower your stress, improve your balance, and enjoy exploring this intriguing, ancient Chinese discipline. Get ready for the 2008 Olympics with a bit of t'ai chi!
Only $150 for complete ten weeks!
Register at first night of class.

INTERMEDIATE AND ADVANCED STUDENTS

Intermediate:
Sundays, 7-8 p.m. Ongoing

Refine basic principles of complete 37-posture Yang-style short form of Professor Cheng Man-ch'ing, learn supplemental exercises and qigong, explore Chinese philosophical principles, explore application of t'ai chi to daily life.

Thursdays, 7-8 p.m.
Review and progress through the enitre 37-posture Yang-style short form of Professor Cheng Man-ch'ing in this class. Attention will be given to form details, functions, and applications.
Intermediate-Advanced Tuition: $22 per evening or flat fee of $84 per month that allows you to attend all classes applicable to your level.

SUMMER 2008 CLASSES

SUMMER WORKSHOP with WEIMING YUAN
Our annual summer workshop will be held in July at Macalester College in St. Paul.

Great River T'ai Chi Ch'uan Location:
Our studio is at 1940 Hennepin Avenue South (at Franklin) above Burch's Pharmacy,
in Minneapolis, just off I-94 (Hennepin Exit).We are just a few blocks south of the Walker Art Center and Loring Park, and a minute from the Wedge Coop.
Great River classes are held at our studio, unless otherwise indicated. Our main studio is not handicap accessible, but we offer accessible classes at other locations. Please contact us for information.
Parking: Available on Colfax Avenue South.
Bus: We are on or near bus routes 2, 4, 6, 12, 17, 25, and 113, 114, 115 (U expresses). Rail: Hiawatha Line LRT to Franklin Station, transfer to westbound #2 bus to Hennepin, or, light-rail to end of line (Warehouse District) then take southbound 4, 6, 12, or 25 on Hennepin to Franklin (about two miles). Great River T'ai Chi Ch'uan, founded in 1979 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, is one of the Midwest's oldest T'ai Chi groups. Classes in Professor Cheng Man-ch'ing's Yang-style short form are taught by Barbara Davis and Cheryl Powers, who between them have over fifty years of teaching experience.
